Hi! I’m Rebecca

................

I’m Rebecca Bradshaw, founder of Rural Child Health - and I help rural mothers feel confident, supported, and capable in their parenting journey so they can enjoy motherhood, not just get through it.

For nearly two decades, I have helped rural and isolated mothers in their parenthood journeys. I have seen and heard every high. Every low. Every question.

I have been a part of the many villages that it takes to raise a child in regional communities.

As a registered nurse, clinical nurse, child health nurse, and nurse navigator, I have recognised a deeply-rooted need for women to feel closely supported throughout their conception to early childhood journey. Through this work, one thing became clear: rural families are often expected to navigate some of the most challenging seasons of life with the least support. Accessing the right care can mean long wait times, limited services, or travelling hundreds of kilometres

Rural Child Health creates customised strategies that work for families, with proactive steps towards creating a happy and safe family environment.

Today, I provide accessible, high-level child and maternal health support that helps:

  • Mothers feel more confident, calm, and supported in their day-to-day parenting
  • Families create healthier, more stable home environments
  • Workplaces and communities support their people more effectively, improving wellbeing, retention, and overall outcomes
  • Rural Child Health delivers personalised support, education, and practical strategies that fit real life — all accessible from the comfort of home.
“Nurse Bec was incredibly helpful to me with my first bub. Away from friends and family and isolated by border closures, she provided a calming input for breastfeeding difficulties, first year sicknesses and general health of my child. She always made sure I knew I was a good mum and doing all I could for my baby which was greatly reassuring as a first time mum. I am very thankful for Bec’s guidance and help!”
-  Thriving Mumma, Bek.

With a holistic and all-encompassing approach to clinical parenthood navigation, Rural Child Health creates customised strategies that work for families, with proactive steps towards creating a happy and safe family environment.

Our vision is for our mothers to enjoy, not just endure motherhood - and with this in mind, we back all of our clients with a continuity of care promise, ensuring that Rural Child Health is there to lean on - always.

Whether I’m working one-on-one with families, partnering with organisations, or speaking to communities, everything I do is designed to create stronger, more supported rural families — because when families are supported, everything else works better too.

“Bec is an amazing child health nurse. She was my CHN for Mr O (she was fresh out of uni at the time!) and I will never be able to repay her for her support. She supported me to keep feeding through Mr O’s reflux and food allergies and taught me so much. She’s fantastic! Also, I love that she is doing online sessions as I know it can be hard to get out of the house with a newborn.”
