Hi! Iā€™mĀ Rebecca
................
A Child Health Nurse, mother of 2 wild boys, wife to a diesel mechanic, self-confessed bookworm, and collector of colourful lipsticks and earrings (not that have anywhere to wear them!). I was born and raised in Central Queensland on cattle properties and like so many children, went to boarding school in Grade 8.
I come from a long line of strong women who raised their families on the land and I am passionate about supporting rural women. I believe they are the backbone of rural Australia, raising the next generation (kind of a BIG deal!) and deserve to be valued for their strength, resilience, and adaptability.
Ā
My love for rural women led me to become a Child Health Nurse. I saw many incredible women raising their families with limited support and resources and wanted to change that for rural, regional, and remote families. After having my own children and raising them on the land, I realised the importance of access to qualified, trusted, and empowering health professionals. After all...I had read all the books and done all the study but my gorgeous tiny humans did not and Motherhood hit me like a freight train!
That's why I created Rural Child Health – for beautiful mums just like you – to provide access to the services you need, delivered by someone you can trust who understands the unique challenges of rural life.
